What is Endodontics?

MolarEndodontics is derived from the greek words "endo", meaning, inside and "ondo", which is the Greek word for tooth. Endodontics is one of the nine specialties of dentistry recognized by the American Dental Association. It is a discipline that focuses on the soft tissues and nerves that are inside the tooth. When the pulp (containing the nerves, arterioles, venules along with the lymphatic tissue and fibrous tissue) becomes diseased or damaged, endodontic treatment may be required to save the tooth.

At Winter Springs Endodontics, we specialize in the art and science of root canals and other treatments that stablize and restore to health otherwise damaged or diseased teeth. We focus on client comfort and care, reducing and often eliminating potential pain during these procedures allowing the patient to recover quickly and resume normal behaviors as soon as possible.
